Krevolin & Horst represents companies and executives in criminal and civil investigations.  In today’s challenging corporate environment, we seek to protect our clients by conducting discreet internal investigations to assess the risk of liability to an organization and its individuals.  In addition, we provide proactive compliance programs, identify problematic areas, recommend measures to prevent recurrence, provide advice during criminal or regulatory investigations, and vigorously defend clients in court when necessary.

Our proactive compliance programs extend to environmental compliance as well.  To ensure environmental compliance and avoid costly penalties, we work with consultants to perform environmental audits.  By performing an environmental audit, our clients can correct compliance issues before they become too costly and, more importantly, they can take advantage of the U.S. EPA's self-reporting policy and thereby eliminate or minimize any penalties, including criminal penalties.    

We also have experience representing an independent auditor mandated by the SEC to conduct an investigation of a publicly traded company.
