About

Brian has experience representing venture backed emerging technology companies and investors across a wide range of venture capital, growth equity, and private equity transactions.  Additionally, he has significant experience in negotiating and documenting intellectual property and information technology licensing and procurement agreements, hosting and cloud services agreements, transitional services and licensing agreements, consulting services and implementation agreements, collaboration agreements, and joint development arrangements. He also routinely advises clients on matters related to open-source software licensing and use.

Brian attended the University of North Carolina School of Law and was a judicial law clerk for the U.S. District Court in the District of South Carolina. Prior to beginning his legal career, Brian worked as a consultant for a Big Four accounting firm and founded a start-up company. Having worked with lawyers in those roles, he leverages those experiences to provide legal representation to his clients from a practical perspective and partner with his clients to reach their company’s goals.
