Having served as in-house counsel to a national non-profit and a large Georgia housing authority, Karen is well versed on issues of corporate governance, non-profit operations, HUD-funded multifamily developments, and the training of volunteer board members in both the non-profit and government arenas. She started her career at one of the top real estate law firm practices in Atlanta and left as a young partner on a mission to “do good by lawyering well,” which led to her in-house roles. Karen is known for her experience in negotiating, drafting contracts for and closing complex commercial transactions.
She currently contracts as counsel for Krevolin & Horst with an emphasis on commercial real estate development and finance and operations including multifamily, retail, hotel, and leasing.
