Employment Law

Krevolin & Horst’s Employment Litigation practice helps clients in both the public and private sectors navigate the ever-changing requirements facing employers, as well as the challenges of discrimination and retaliation claims. K&H provides trusted counsel on the overlapping local, state, and federal regulations that impact employment matters when assisting our clients in Georgia and elsewhere. Our attorneys are equipped to advise on employee retention and termination strategies, non-compete, confidentiality, and employment agreements, and sensitive internal investigations. And while we strive to resolve employment-related disputes outside of the courtroom when possible, our litigators also have the trial expertise to tell our client’s story before a jury when the facts warrant it.

About

Much of Krevolin & Horst’s Employment practice involves helping businesses craft employee agreements and company policies and procedures in a way that furthers the client’s operational goals and reduces the possibility of a dispute down the road. We also counsel individual employees, particularly those in executive or C-suite positions, helping them review and negotiate their employment contracts or severance terms and packages.

On the litigation side, our attorneys have a track record of success in representing clients in response to complaints and lawsuits involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII matters, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. In addition, we help our employer clients manage responses to unexpected and potentially damaging public disclosures that may relate to client policies, procedures, or particular employees.

In addition to handling matters involving claims of discrimination, K&H is fully prepared to represent clients in matters involving restrictive covenants, and trade secret issues, and we regularly appear in state and federal court on short notice when emergency injunctive relief is sought.
