K&H Partners Author Georgia Law Review Article Discussing Attorney Accountability for Baseless Claims

In a widely-publicized opinion and order, a federal judge in Michigan recently imposed sanctions against attorneys found to have abused the judicial process in order to undermine the 2020 presidential election, and referred those lawyers for disciplinary proceedings in their respective home states. In a Summer 2021 article published in conjunction with the Georgia Law Review’s Symposium on “150 Years of Voting in America,” K&H partners Joyce Gist Lewis and Adam M. Sparks discussed the unique threat posed to democracy when lawyers asserting baseless claims of election fraud are not held accountable.
