Halsey G. Knapp, Jr. and Barclay H. Vallotton secure favorable jury verdict in a reverse discrimination lawsuit against City of Atlanta
Krevolin & Horst attorneys Halsey G. Knapp, Jr. and Barclay H. Vallotton secured a federal jury verdict in favor of the City of Atlanta in a reverse discrimination lawsuit against the City. Mr. Knapp and Ms. Vallotton were part of a trial team led by Halima White of Employment Law Solution. The team defended the City against claims by former APD lieutenant Terry Joyner, who is white, alleging that the Chief of Police did not promote him to a captain’s position because a slot was “being held” for a Black supervisor. The jury sided with the City, finding that Joyner failed to prove discrimination.
