Successful Resolution of Claim Alleging Race Discrimination and FLSA Overtime Violations

Joyce Gist Lewis reached a non-confidential settlement for less than one-half of her client’s attorneys’ fees in a case where Plaintiff alleged he was denied promotions because of his race and was not paid overtime as required by law. Settlement was made prior to the filing of a motion for summary judgment, and included an agreement that Plaintiff would not seek further employment with the client.
