Krevolin & Horst Names New Partner and Welcomes Two More Attorneys

Krevolin & Horst has named litigation counsel Kana A. Caplan a partner; and hires counsel Colvin T. Leonard III and associate Brian M. Fennie to bolster K&H’s expansive services as a boutique law firm.

Kana A. Caplan joined K&H in 2019 as counsel before being named partner on January 1, 2024. She practices complex business litigation, with a focus on trade secrets, restrictive covenants, and business divorce. She also has extensive experience with issues of corporate governance, fiduciary obligations, intellectual property, and employment. Kana regularly represents clients in state and federal courts and before arbitrators.

Prior to joining Krevolin & Horst, Kana served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mark H. Cohen on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and as an associate at the New York office of King & Spalding. Kana earned her JD from Georgetown University Law Center and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama.

Colvin T. Leonard III joins K&H as counsel after working with the firm on several matters over the past decade. Mr. Leonard focuses on assisting private investors, high net worth individuals, hedge funds, business owners, and small to middle-market companies in navigating complicated corporate and financial issues, including raising and investing capital, restructurings, distressed debt/insolvency, and corporate control disputes. He brings over 25 years of big firm experience working on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, investment fund organization and regulatory compliance, corporate and commercial financings, syndicated bank financings, structured financings (including leasing and project finance), specialized financial products (such as CDOs and securitizations), reorganizations/restructurings and bankruptcies. Mr. Leonard received his JD and his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Brian M. Fennie joins us from Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP as a real estate associate. Brian advises clients in all facets of commercial real estate transactions. His practice involves leasing, acquisition, disposition, financing, reinvestment, and development of commercial real estate, including hospitality, multifamily, mixed-use, retail, restaurant, office, and land assets. Brian received his JD from the University of Illinois Chicago and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona.
