Crissy also frequently advises tax exempt organizations, including 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organizations. She has counseled her tax-exempt clients on Section 4958 matters, state tax exemptions and compliance with state charitable registration laws. She has assisted trade associations with domestic and international memberships on various legal issues that typical to such organizations.
Crissy is a practical, business minded lawyer, who always keeps the ultimate goal for the client in sight and believes the question is not can something be done, but how, and looks to find creative solutions to overcome obstacles along the way.
Before Krevolin & Horst, Crissy practiced at two AmLaw 100 law firms with international foot prints.
Outside of legal practice, Crissy serves on the Board of Legal Aid Atlanta. She has previously held roles on its Advisory Council, and was one of the co-founders of the Service Council, and the ALAS/AVLF Beer Tasting and BBQ Battle, one of the most well-attended summer events in the Atlanta legal community. Crissy is also on the Board of Directions of the Business and Finance Section of the Atlanta Bar Association, and has served in various officer positions.
Crissy was also a recipient of the 2017 “On the Rise” from the Fulton County Daily Report, as well as the M&A Advisor Emerging Leaders award.
Outside of law, Crissy enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, traveling, hiking and cooking.
