Jack Cartwright is an associate in Krevolin & Horst’s Litigation department. He has represented clients facing complex legal challenges, and has experience litigating business torts, IP/Trade Secrets, state and federal RICO claims, defamation claims, restrictive covenants, and commercial breaches of contract. Additionally, he has experience trying voting rights and election contest cases. Jack is also proud to represent whistleblowers in False Claims Act / qui tam lawsuits who expose fraud perpetrated against the United States government.
Prior to joining Krevolin & Horst, Jack was a litigation associate at Winston & Strawn in New York and Washington, D.C., where his practice focused on antitrust, securities, and commercial litigation. At Winston, Jack worked on a high-profile pro bono matter against the Port Authority Police Department for their discriminatory practice of using plainclothes officers to arrest gay, bisexual, and gender nonconforming people and falsely accuse them of crimes. That work resulted in a historic settlement, including payment of monetary damages to the Plaintiffs and reforms to the Port Authority’s policing practices.
During his time at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Jack served as a law clerk on Senator Patrick J. Leahy’s Judiciary Committee staff and as a summer law clerk for the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in the chambers of the Honorable Judge Alice Beck Dubow.
Jack was named by Best Lawyers in America as “Ones to Watch” in 2024. In 2021, Jack received the Legal Aid Society’s Pro Bono Publico Award. He currently serves on the board of the Stonewall Bar Association of Georgia.
